• Explorer - beginner challenge

• RoboMission - robots solve tasks on a game mat

• Future Innovators - teams develop a project and prototype around a theme

• RoboSports - robots compete against other robots in a sport

• Future Engineers - teams develop and program mini self driving cars

• In-House Challenge - robotics in your own time. 3 challenge levels easy, medium, difficult (great starter challenge)

Robotics kits - any robotics kit is allowed in all categories except explorer

Specific WRO Equipment - Mats and game elements (www.handsontech.co.za)

Minimum of 2 participants and maximum of 3 participants per WRO team

Age groups are determined by the age the team member is turning in the year of the competition.

Check the registration opening and closing dates

When registration opens register your teams for your selected provincial event

Register early - event venues fill up fast

If it is your first time as a coach register to judge at the event. You will learn more about how WRO SA works and what issues teams face when competing. 

Arrive at your venue brining all of your equipment and robots needed.

Remember you are not allowed to assist your teams in any way at any WRO event either as a coach or a judge.
